Very descriptive evaluation of the day, sounded more like a training event than a Barn Hunt. Might be a good time to hold seminars now to teach Handlers what to look for in the dogs reaction to scenting for the rat.
Again, you mentioned that the events should all be using the same rules so that part has to be firmed up as well.
Good suggestions overall.
